“strategic creative”

I have spent 10+ years in the design and creative industry working in a range of disciplines, from apparel to digital and now into Product Design. I have built my career around my skill set of creating design and visuals that build intentional, purpose-driven results. I recognise my intuitive ability to think strategically as a creative and have studied for a Diploma in UX Design, I am now a qualified Product Designer.

Working as a client, client-side and contracting I have a 360 approach to businesses. My curious mindset allows me to harness both a product-thinking outlook and creative lens to deliver user-focused results.

career history

I am currently working as a freelance consultant for brands and SMEs, working closely with founders to provide creative and branding insight into their projects. Having completed my Diploma in UX & UI Design, I also collaborate with cross-functional teams on UX/UI workflows, aiding user-research, journey mapping and prototyping.

Previously I worked in Creative Direction for e-commerce. Starting out in Graphic Design, I worked closely with marketing and retail teams to deliver both digital and physical campaign assets. From here I moved into Art Direction, producing still and moving imagery for use across all branded media touch-points. The combination of this work lead me to my most recent contract as Head of Creative, where I managed a small team.

Alongside my digital design career, I launched my own side-hustle in 2020, Wandering Home, which documented the building out and subsequent travels in a converted school bus through videography and photography on Instagram and YouTube, which generated a combined reach of 35k and yielded over 1M impressions. I subsequently became a brand ambassador for Columbia Sportswear and we collaborated on two highly successful, campaigns across the UK and Europe that gained industry-wide recognition.

I started my career as an apparel designer at John Lewis. I secured my first role in the Menswear team prior to graduating from the University of Leeds following a successful student placement. I was promoted into the Childrenswear team where I worked on ranges for the highest profit product categories and worked on merchandise for the annual Christmas Advert.

  1. Always design with intent and purpose.

  2. Collaboration unlocks creativity.

  3. Product design is the golden thread.

  4. Better briefing = better design.

outside of work.

You’ll most likely find me walking. Walking to my local coffee shop, hiking up a mountain, scrambling along the coast path, running into the sea for a dip, bimbling through a second hand market, walking to a pilates class, on my evening walk to catch a glimpse of the sunset whilst listening to a podcast or catching up with friends, strolling around an art gallery, stepping out to dinner or my favourite wine bar, exploring a new country on my travels or heading to my next padel lesson.

I split my time between London, Cornwall and Lisbon.

I am no longer willing to use her creative skillset on businesses that are going to destroy the world. I want to use the power of my creativity to influence better behaviour for the planet and people. I am looking for my next role or client to allow me to be part of something that challenges boundaries and disrupts broken industries.
